A historic 1986 voyage was supported by  Kawishiwi.
Why not let her be a Historically Preserved Museum.
The flags being flown tell us that Missouri is about to be refueled.

MISSION:
Educate the public about support required to keep America Free.

While the 2nd half of the worlds oil supply is being pumped from the earth; a museum explaining how oil was created,  how it percolated to the surface, how it was first piped around by the Chinese, how drilling in Pennsylvania created the biggest energy boom in history, and how oil turned into being a important source of power in our Navy; could be housed within one or two retired naval vessels that are waiting to be made useful.

Let's Create a
NAVY

What Is KAWISHIWI ?
The Museum could serve a dual purposes, store WATER or  FUEL in reserve for an Emergency.
It could also house our deserving HOMELESS VETERANS.

The current status of the world may put this proposal on hold
but let's at least keep the ship from the scrap pile.

Picture a museum that displays how our Navy and Nation is SUPPORTED with Auxiliary ships that are ALWAYS there to supply the Carriers and Destroyers protecting our nation. Seattle is located in a protected area of the nation and is vibrate in growing technologies. Seattle can use more attractions to draw persons to it's seaport.

Currently in Mobile Alabama a ship is being readied for support during the up coming Hurricanes.
See: OPERATION ENDURING SERVICE

Two OILERS in good repair are in San Francisco and could be used for the museum.
They are TAO-145 and TAO-146

Other Tankers are in the Air, such as

Boeing's  767 Tanker
An aerial vessel used to SUPPORT
Our Military Service People.
WHO WOULD PAY FOR THIS?    Perhaps, the Navy and the OIL INDUSTRY!

A much larger, more costly ship to maintain would be:  USS Seattle AOE-3 She is ready to be scrapped and is not as pretty either :)

Think about it.
